“I saw a TV show when I was a child and loved the singer’s hair. My mother said, ‘The only people that can wear that style are rock stars and stylists.’ I knew then I’d be a stylist.”
Jump cut to grown-up Carla in a bustling Chicago salon, immersed in icon hairdresser Charles Ifergan’s intense, French-inspired training program. Carla became a lead haircutter at that salon for eleven years, working closely with Charles Ifergan. His unique method of precision cutting coupled with “cutting by feel” sets her technique apart from the rest. As a cutting specialist in both men’s and women’s cuts, Carla’s vibe is “a little edgy with a modern, French twist,” with short and medium lengths as her favorites. When she’s not creating her art on people’s heads, Carla enjoys traveling, Bikram yoga, and reggae. Besides her very personalized attention to detail, Her warm and creative energy makes hanging with her a pleasure for anyone.
